Maintain a database of media organizations and contacts within them.
Manage the company’s or organization’s social media communications.
Regularly meet with and conduct interviews with media personnel.
Create and produce internal newsletters for the organization.
Develop and maintain working relationships with journalists in multiple types of media outlets.
Act as a spokesperson for the organization.
Write, edit and distribute various types of content, including material for a website, press releases, marketing material and other types of content that take the message to the public.
Manages social media communications.
Prepare and manage the organization’s communication budget.
Works towards maintain the good reputation of the company in the public
Manages the company’s branding.
Respond to media inquiries and perform media outreach to achieve brand placement in publications
Educates staff members on communication processes.
Track analytics and create reports detailing successes and failures of communications campaigns
Ensure that all communications and marketing material aligns with brand standards
Maintain digital media archives including photos and videos
Job Requirement
Key Skills
Excellent communication skills in English, Afaan Oromoo and Amharic languages
Must be a confident communicator and presenter
Have a full understanding of characteristics of media and media relationships
Self-motivated and creative
Must be highly detail-oriented.
Expert knowledge of the company’s mission statement and product and service offerings.
Required Qualification
MA or BA in Communication, Journalism, Business or related fields
Minimum of 5 years of experiences
Prior working experience in Food industry is an advantage
