ORGANIZATIONAL DESCRIPTION:

SUMMARY STATEMENT OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITES:
Under the joint supervision of Assosa based Health Manager, the EPI Officer is a junior management position that involves planning, management, monitoring & evaluation of immunization and surveillance activities under health programs in Belojiganfoie woredas. The EPI Officer will be based at Belojiganfoie- Sogie town and will have frequent travel to health posts and health centers of both woredas. He/she will be responsible in planning and implementing, monitoring and evaluation of the immunization and Surveillance activities. The position requires working with a government health workers; Woreda health office team, Health centers, Health Extension workers (HEWs) and Health post nurses.
The officer is responsible to oversee Health activities for the projects of Core Group Polio- CGPP- that IRC agreed up on to conduct, budget Monitoring, sector reporting and for cordial and constructive coordination with the other actors in the sector, especially with health facility staffs, woreda Health office, and other stakeholders working in assigned woredas.
