1. IntroductionThe Network of Ethiopian Women’s Associations (NEWA) is a pioneer, national coalition of women’s associations that share the goal of advancing women’s rights, gender equality, and women’s empowerment, working with its constituency and partners operating throughout the country advocating for the creation and proper implementation of gender-sensitive policies, laws, and programs at national and regional levels. NEWA is strive to ensure the interests of women are factored in the national plans and policies and to see women’s social, economic, political, and legal entitlements realized at all levels as enshrined in the national and international instruments.As a strategy to fulfil this objective, NEWA has supported girls and young women in all folks of the society to start to organize themselves on policy influencing and decision-making agenda. The effort gave birth of the Ethiopian young women voice as advocacy national platform with the mission of promoting the rights of girls and young women in policy influencing and decision-making process in all sided, which this becomes the first of its kindThis is therefore, NEWA is looking for a trainer to engage to train 40 GYW members on human right and international convention with a focus on GYW as part of the She-leads project.For this purpose, a call for trainer is conducted:&nbsp; Trainer for a one and half day human rights training- delivering educational expertise and engaging as a trainer in preparing, facilitating, implementing, and evaluating the activities carried out during the training&nbsp;This ToR &nbsp;constitutes the specifications of the work, the purpose, standard criteria to carry out the services required and instructions of submitting the application.&nbsp;2. Objective of the trainingThe general objective of the training is to provide a one and half day comprehensive human right and international convention with a focus on GYW to EYWV members. The training will cover fundamental human rights principles, and practical ways to implement these rights in everyday life.&nbsp;&nbsp;Specific Objectives<ul><li>EYWVs are aware of the of human rights, focusing on issues particularly relevant to young women and girls.</li><li>Equip Ethiopian young women voice with the skills and knowledge to advocate for their own rights and the rights of others in their communities.</li><li>Address human rights topics within the context of Ethiopian culture and societal norms to ensure relevance and effectiveness.</li><li>Provide actionable tools and strategies for participants to implement human rights principles in their daily lives and communities.</li></ul>3. Purpose and CoverageThe main purpose of this assignment is to give one and half day human right training with a focus on GYW. &nbsp; &nbsp;During the training the participants will gain knowledge on rule of law, human rights, human rights institutions&nbsp;and international convention.&nbsp;The training is expected to be given in Addis Ababa. The training will be given for one and half days for a total of 30-40 EYWV members.4. Methodologies and Scope of the WorkThe trainings will be delivered in an interactive friendly format, utilizing lectures, group discussion, presentation and participatory methods to engage all the participants.5.&nbsp;Trainer deliverables&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; The following will be the expected deliverables of the trainer:<ul><li>Submit brief technical and financial proposal to deliver one and half day training on human right with a focus on GYW including detailed a workplan, to be submitted two days before the actual date of training.&nbsp;</li><li>prepare an outline and summarized presentation to better understand on on human right and international convention</li><li>Prepare PPT, agenda, pre-post training test of the training in a participatory and friendly approach</li><li>Organize and conduct one and half day training programmes for about 40-50 participant’s base set schedule.</li><li>Submit post training report on the implementation of the training shall be summitted three days after the training.</li></ul>6. Duration for the assignment&nbsp;<ul><li>Timeframe of the assignment will be held on Sept 25-26, 2024 in Addis Ababa (the venue will be confirmed later).</li><li>After signing of the contract, the trainer will have a total of three consultancy days, including one day for preparation, one and half day will be provided for the training and a day for preparing a report to be submitted after the training.</li></ul>
