Tinaw Business Share Company was established in 2006, by five shareholders, with the major objective of engaging in various business portfolios in a phase by phase basis with the initial focus on horticulture areas, floriculture in particular. The Company’s head quarter is in Addis Ababa – the Capital City of Ethiopia. The farms are located in Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples’ Regional State, Guraghe Zone, Ezsha District, Ziba-botto Village,175 kms South West of Addis Ababa, at an altitude of 1970 meters above sea level. The Company started operation on 7 hectares of greenhouse coverage and has undergone subsequent rose flowers expansion projects. Presently, the Company grows seventeen varieties of rose flower on 26.6 hectares of greenhouse coverage and exports to the international market, mainly The Netherlands. The Company has become one of the most competitive companies in the international floriculture business which is characterized by aggressive competition. It generates considerable foreign exchange to the country and has provided job opportunities for 900 workers at present. Noting its competitiveness and the already established management capacity in the floriculture sector, the Company planned to undertake rose flower expansion project. Apart from rose flowers, the Company has secured 54 hectares of land for vegetables and has started growing for the local market at the initial stage of development with the ultimate plan for export market in phase by phase basis. To this effect, the Company has put in place the major infrastructural facilities such as water supply along with a modern filtration system, electricity, and drip irrigation lines on 10 hectares open field. The Farm is also staffed with the required professional, and has started growing various vegetables on 10 hectares of land on open field.

Tinaw Business S.C. is legally registered entity established in accordance with the Commercial Code of Ethiopia. Located in Guraghe Zone of the Central Ethiopian State Ezga Woreda. The Company is currently engaged in the production and exports of rose flower on 32 hectares of greenhouse coverage and exports to the international market. Currently the company employs about 800 employees and generates millions Euro per year. Building on 18 years of experience and remarkable performance in the floriculture sector, the company has embarked on farm expansion project on 54 hectares of land. The first phase of the project implementation on 15 hectares is almost completed and the second phase has started on 25 hectares. Assist the Marketing Manager in identifying, developing and expanding the direct market for the company’s rose sales.b.&nbsp;With the guidance of the Marketing Manager, develop individual milestones and specific targets that contributes to the overall effort of the Marketing department in its market development initiatives.c. Identify the changing trends of market demands and provide inputs to enhance the quality and variety of the flower production of the company.d. Continuously conduct assessment of price trends of flowers in the international market and propose right pricing strategies that will strengthen the company’s profitability and competitiveness.e.&nbsp;Participate in advertisement and promotional activities of the company’s product using all available opportunities.f.&nbsp;Participate in the assessment of market performance and price setting activities.&nbsp;&nbsp;1.2&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Customer Service&nbsp;&nbsp;a.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Pay due attention to contemporary needs of customers and respond to their queries on timely and professional manner.b.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Attentively follow up quality remarks and other feedbacks from buyers and share the information to the Marketing Manager, Farm Manager and Pack house.c.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Follow up the shipment chain from farm to final destination point and ensure that consignments are delivered to buyers as ordered in terms of length, quality and variety; and take appropriate action immediately when there are discrepancies.d.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Liaise with Ethiopian Airlines and promptly arrange booking, receive confirmation and timely communicate the final EAL’s booking confirmation to the farm and customers unpackers.e.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Ensure that documents and formalities for shipment are fulfilled in advance in line with the specific requirements of the Auction and Direct markets.f.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Attentively follow up any amendment to shipment booking made by the farm or EAL before the deadline set forth in the Cargo Freight Service Level Agreement which the company signed with EAL.g.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Timely handle export permit related issues and prepare shipment documents for the Direct Market.h.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Establish positive working relationship with all stakeholders involved in the flower selling process starting from farm to the final destination point.i.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Liaise with freighters, logistics companies, unpackers and regulatory bodies on operational related issues.j.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Follow up shipments and sales collections according to stipulated terms and conditions and transfer payment confirmations to Finance department in time.k.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Attentively oversee freight payments in time to avoid any possible impediment to shipments.l.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Follow up payment collection form credit customers as per the credit sales contract1.3&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Documentation and Recordkeepinga.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Handle documentation and recordkeeping for daily shipment with maximum attention.b.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Consolidate and compile documents and data relating to shipment.c.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Ensure that Direct Market sales contracts are properly filed.d.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Properly maintain all required data and information for easier retrieval when required.e.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Prepare regular reports on sales and price trends, achievements and challenges along with recommendations and suggestions for improvements.Other related duties as required.
