For the purpose of this vacancy, internal candidates are considered first-tier candidates.ContextUnder the general supervision of the fleet manager for Addis Ababa and the direct supervision of the Logistics/ Fleet Assistant III, the successful candidate shall be responsible to carry out duties related to the organization’s movement activities.&nbsp;For further information and other job postings, you are welcome to visit our website: <a href="https://www.iom.int/careers">IOM Careers and Job Vacancies</a>Responsibilities<figure class="table"><table><tbody><tr><td><ol><li>Drives office vehicles for transport of authorized personnel and delivery of mail, documents, and other items,</li><li>To keep vehicle (s) under his/her responsibility in perfect order, as well as the control of periodic maintenance and to report any problems needing assistance/repair, To execute the jobs assigned by his supervisor with efficiency and safety,</li><li>Ensure that the steps required by rules and regulations are taken in case of involvement in accident,</li><li>Perform daily vehicle check-up of oil, water, battery brakes, tires etc. and look vehicle cleanliness; keep the logbook of each vehicle updated,</li><li>Keep a HIGH degree of confidentiality and discreteness in discussions which involve IOM and its officials</li><li>Compliance with security practices and radio checks as it pertains to the UNDSS security plans&nbsp;</li><li>Perform daily input in travel log sheet including mileage, fuel consumption, destinations, and items in English,</li><li>Coordinate the logistical needs as relates to ground transportation, accommodation, meals, medical and operational appointments, pre-departure medical checks and departures and /or arrivals.</li><li>Ensure safety and security concerns and incidences are advised to the Field Office Coordinator and Security Assistant.</li><li>Support the implementation of humanitarian response and voluntary repatriation programs as requested by the Office Coordinator.</li><li>To process and collect travel documents from ARRA &amp; other IOM partners.</li><li>Escort refugees to/from the camps for resettlement or medical examinations as required,</li><li>Assist in Logistics and operational activities of the sub-office,&nbsp;</li><li>To process and collect shipments from customs, airport etc.</li><li>Any other duties as may be assigned.</li></ol></td></tr></tbody></table></figure>
