DEC is a local CSO established in 2007 and re-registered in May 2019 as per the new Authority for CSO Proclamation by the Ethiopian government bearing a registration number of 0009. The organization has five major programs; Child Well-being and Education Development Program, Gender and Life Skill Development, Employable Skills Development Program, Advocacy, and Humanitarian Emergency Program. DEC actively works in six National Regional States and one city administration of Ethiopia namely Amhara, Afar, Oromia, Tigray, Gambela, Benishangul Gumuz, and Addis Ababa City Administration.&nbsp;

DEC actively works in six National Regional States and one city administration of Ethiopia namely Amhara, Afar, Oromia, Tigray, Gambela, Benishangul Gumuz, and Addis Ababa City Administration.&nbsp;&nbsp;DEC would like to recruit for the following position.Required No. 1.Duty Station&nbsp;Development Expertise Center DEC Mekele Area OfficeFemale Applicants are appreciated.Role and responsibilities&nbsp;<ul><li>Support field-level needs assessments; youth-led community project identification, and business proposal development activities.</li><li>Participate in the preparation of a detailed implementation plan in collaboration with another project team particularly on youth and Women's economic empowerment activities.</li><li>Establish working relationships and partnerships with government partners, donors, private actors, and other stakeholders to enhance structured opportunities for youth economic empowerment.</li><li>Provide capacity-building training to the members on different themes, cascade different ToT training, and ensure the quality of economic strengthening interventions.</li><li>Promote and support target groups and coalitions to innovate and/or create different ways to generate income such as fundraising initiatives and external funding via grants and sponsorship to ensure the sustainability of the youth centers and community projects.</li><li>Support planning, organization, and implementation of&nbsp; events including workshops, awareness-raising campaigns, and experience-sharing opportunities for youth and Women's economic empowerment&nbsp; &nbsp;</li><li>Support and facilitate&nbsp; the implementation of entrepreneurship-related activities as per the set work plan and methodologies</li><li>Support the engagement of youth and women in opportunities from the private sector within the targets.</li></ul>Closing date:&nbsp;13/10 /2024
