ActionAid Ethiopia (AAE): ActionAid Ethiopia (AAE) is a Gender Justice, Good Governance and Poverty Eradication organization, In Ethiopia, ActionAid works to challenge various forms of power and build capacities to create people agencies of critical mass of communities especially Women, Girls and Young People living in poverty and exclusion to fulfil their rights, ensure redistribution of resources and build their resilience. AAE prioritize to work with Women, Girls and Young People and their organizations, networks, civil society organizations, national and local government and other allies to overcome gender injustice and structural causes of poverty. 	&nbsp;We connect our work from communities to national and international level by leading and actively engaging in policy agenda for greater contribution towards a just, equitable and sustainable life of communities through addressing injustice. Position:&nbsp;Project Officer – Peace BuildingType of Contract: ContractRequired Number: 1Duty Base: Tigray Raya&nbsp;The Peacebuilding Officer is responsible for promoting peace, preventing conflict, and fostering co-existence in the project area. This role involves engaging with local communities, authorities, and CSOs to build capacity, facilitate dialogue, and support the implementation of peacebuilding initiatives. The Peacebuilding Officer will work closely with local communities, partner organizations, and project stakeholders to ensure projects are completed successfully and contribute to the organization's mission of fighting poverty and injustice.Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities&nbsp;Key Activities&nbsp;<ul><li>Conduct community mobilization, sensitization, and education on peace building, prevention of conflict, co-existence, and related issues.</li><li>Organize and facilitate dialogue sessions involving community representatives, authorities, and CSOs in the target areas.</li><li>Support and facilitate meetings, networks, coalitions, and other community-based activities.</li><li>Provide, facilitate, and support training to communities and partners on peace building, conflict prevention, dialogue, and agenda setting.</li><li>Support in the development of guidelines, manuals, and other training materials on relevant topics.</li><li>Support and participate in assessments, researches, campaigns, and events.</li><li>Network and liaise the project with other relevant actors.</li><li>Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource requirements, in alignment with ActionAid's program strategies and donor requirements.</li><li>Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and provide regular status updates to project stakeholders.</li><li>Collect and analyze project data and prepare progress reports and evaluations.</li><li>Document project activities, lessons learned, and best practices to inform future programming.</li><li>Perform other related duties as required.</li></ul>
