CEFA Onlus (European Committee for Training and Agriculture) is a Non-Government Organization whose headquarter is in Bologna, Italy. CEFA works in North/East Africa and Latin America with international donors, mainly in the following activities: 1) Rural economy with production, transformation and commercialization of agricultural products; 2) Crafting products; 3) Basic infrastructures to guarantee water access, requalification and environment protection of the territory and the use of renewable energies; 4) Technical and Management training

Projects: AID 11959 – Strengthening the resilience of South Sudanese refugees in Gambella through an integrated and lasting approach with a focus on the most vulnerable groups.
Implementing partners: Doctors with Africa CUAMM (leading agency)
ABOUT THE ROLE
Expected Results:
· To realise project activities as planned and project funds used in accordance with the approved budget;
· To implement CEFA Onlus activities related to agriculture, food and nutrition security, livelihood;
· Ensure that project activities are integrated in the plans foreseen by the competent authorities regarding awareness-raising and communication, and implemented in close collaboration with all actors and stakeholders involved.
In relation to the achievement of the above-mentioned results, CEFA Project Coordinator works under the supervision of the Deputy Programme Manager in Addis Abeba and in coordination with the Project Manager and staff of the partner NGO for work planning and the definition of intervention priorities.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Program Design and Implementation
· Develop detailed implementation plans (monthly, quarterly and annual) for the all
projects activity.
· Coordinate implementation of projects to ensure quality and timely
delivery of project outputs.
· Review and validate documents from implementing partners
· In collaboration with project staff, identify and propose the development of new programmes and contribute to the development of CEFA Ethiopia's strategy in the area of intervention.
· Carrying out a weekly review of the progress of activities
B. Study And Survey
· Conduct preliminary study (Baseline survey) for the project activities.
· Carry out studies in the area of assessing food security and socio-economic reality
· Assessing potential and opportunities for agriculture and farming micro-entrepreneurs
· Define problems and identify operational solutions
C. Reporting
· Design work plan and reporting system
· Produce periodic and progress reports
· Collect and analyses report feedbacks obtained from implementing partners and stakeholders
· Contribute to donor reports (frequency according to donor requirements), while ensuring accurate data
· Produce narrative and financial reporting with the support of administrative staff in Gambella
D. Coordination
· Coordination with partners to implement the activities planned in the project for the agriculture, food security and nutrition sector
· Participate in coordination meetings with the consortium NGO and relevant authorities in Gambella as well as humanitarian stakeholders
· Coordinate the distribution of materials and inputs provided in the area of intervention
· Regular interaction with community outreach agents and project beneficiary
· Coordinating with stakeholders at the project intervention area
E. Capacity Building
· Enhance capacity of project staffs on technical skill
· Organize workshops for the project beneficiaries
· Design and develop training package, module on agriculture and farming micro-entrepreneurship, marketing ……
· Provide technical assistance for refugee communities
· Facilitate training sessions for selected target groups and understanding of beneficiaries' training needs
F. Monitoring and evaluation
· Develop monitoring and evaluation tools for the project activities
· Monitor proper data collection, contribute to community trend analysis based on the Monitoring and Evaluation Plan
· Plan continuous monitoring activities and visits to the camps, realise and coordinate baseline and endline surveys and FGDs by collecting and processing data for sharing with relevant authorities and donor
· Monitor implementation and evaluate progress of the project activity to ensure quality and timely delivery of the project outputs.
· Share best practices and lessons learnt with consortium partners
· Maintain proper filing systems of all project documents, reports and other relevant technical documents in both hard copy and soft copy
· Degree in disciplines relevant to the area of implementation/Academic experience relevant to the described role (agronomy, rural development or equivalent);
· Previous experience in Cooperation Projects in the agriculture/food security/nutrition/livelihood sectors (4 years minimum). Working experience in Emergency contexts will be considered an added value
Other requirements
· Excellent knowledge of the areas of intervention;
· Aptitude for working in safety-critical contexts and problem-solving orientation;
· Strong interpersonal skills/abilities;
· Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English;
· Excellent knowledge of Amharic;
· Knowledge of Local language will be considered an added value;
· Excellent computer knowledge (Office package);
· Familiarity with training manuals on agriculture/food safety.
