Assisting in the development, initiation, maintenance, and revision of policies and procedures for the general operation of the Compliance/Government Relations Program and its related activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct. Assists in the management of day-to-day operation of the Program.
Collaboration with other departments (e.g., Site Services, Finance, Commercial, Mining, Exploration etc.) to direct compliance issues to appropriate existing channels for investigation and resolution. Consults with the Commercial Manager as needed to resolve difficult legal compliance issues.
Assisting in the development of responses to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and Standards of Conduct.
Monitor, and as necessary, coordinates compliance/Government Relations activities of other departments to remain abreast of the status of all compliance/Government Relations activities and to identify trends.
Assist in the identification potential areas of compliance/Government Relations vulnerability and risk; assist in the development/implementation of corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues and provides general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future.
Assist with an effective compliance/Government Relations communication program for TKGM, including promoting (a) the Compliance Committee; (b) heightened awareness of Standards of Conduct, and (c) understanding of new and existing compliance issues and related policies and procedures.
Represent the Company’s interests as an absolute priority at all levels.

Minimum Required Qualification
BA degree in public administration, humanities, social sciences or social works
MBA or successful completion of a Management Development Program will be advantageous
Language requirements
Afan Oromo speaking and writing is advantageous
Excellent Amharic speaking & writing

Minimum Required Work Experience
At least 5 years of experience in relevant area.
Experience of working with the government at a senior level will be considered as an advantage.
Extensive knowledge of the Ethiopian system of government and administration.
Self-driven, independent and motivated.
Diplomatic nature, excellent negotiation skills plus negotiation experience;
Strong communication, organization and interpersonal skills.
Experience of working in a multi-cultural environment.
