Invitation to produce project documentary in Adama, Batu, Shashemene, Arbaminch, W/Sodo, Gonder,Bahir Dar,and Addis Ababa
Background
Ethiopian Center for Disability and Development (ECDD) is an Ethiopian Development Organization established in 2005 and reregistered at Agency for Civil Society Organizations as Ethiopian Development Organization with Certificate no. 0321 under the Proc. No. 1113/2019.
ECDD is working with other organizations to promote and facilitate the inclusion of persons with disabilities and disability issues in mainstream service delivery and development programs envisioning an Inclusive Ethiopia where persons with disabilities exercise the same rights and have access to the same services and opportunities enjoyed by other citizens.
ECDD has been implementing a project “Promoting Disability Inclusive Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) Right” with the support of The David and Lucile Packard Foundation to increase access and utilization of SRH services among persons with disabilities through building the capacities of institutions, key decision-makers and SRH service providers, Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) workers and persons with disabilities and their organizations for the last 13 years.
Ecdd hs ben also implementing a project funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) to increase access to and use of SRH (Sexual and Reproductive Health) services among Adolescents and Youth with Disabilities in seven towns: Bahir Dar, Gonder Hawass, Wolayita Sodo, Arbaminch, Axum and Mekele. currently, ECDD is in its last stage of implementing the UNFPA funded SRH project and would like to document learnings and achievements of the project and in the two years and six months of implementation period hence
Currently, ECDD looking for a consultancy firm interested to produce 15 minutes project documentary video capturing the essence of the project and its achievements at Adama, Batu, shashemene, and Addis Ababa.
ECDD is also looking for competent media to produce 25 minutes documentary video that will be captured from Bahir Dar and Gondor towns and compile with the previously produced 20-minute documentary video from UNFPA SRH implementation towns, and bring to a single Document.
Objectives
The documentary video is expected to:
· Give background about ECDD and its Inclusive Health Works
· Highlight the importance of the disability-inclusive health projects
· Demonstrate the major achievements in the implementation towns
· Incorporate selected case stories of beneficiaries and stakeholders from selected target towns
Services
· The PRODUCER should prepare a script relevant to the documentary.
· Submit scripts of the documentary video and accept comments from ECDD tasks to meet the objective of the work and the expectations of ECDD.
· Cover all fees for actors, recording, directing, PRODUCER or any other related cost needed to carry out the Services.
· Ensure high quality of work.
· Work collaboratively with and report the progress to ECDD.
· The final documentary video consisting of content on background about ECDD, the importance of inclusive health projects, and the case story should be 15 minutes for Adama, Batu, Shashemene, Arbaminch, W/Sodo and Addis Ababa.
. Another final documentary video consisting of content on background about ECDD, the importance of inclusive health projects, and the case story with 25 minutes for Gonder and Bahir Dar implantation town.
· The entire documentary video should have a sign language caption and English sub-title
Expected Output
** a single DVD file compiled of the previously produced 20 minutes documentary Video with the 25 minutes documentary video to be produced at Bahir Dar and Gondor town.
NB: the company shall provide an independent price for the above three documentary works.
Terms of Payment:
· 50% upon signing of the contract
· 50% upon satisfactory completion and delivery and acceptance by ECDD of the spots transmitted.
Eligibility
Eligibility: Companies with required capacity , as well as individuals having the following competencies/skills and capacities, are eligible to apply for this short-term service:
· Profound knowledge on disability and disability inclusion.
· Strong experience in making documentary videos.
· Have a valid license and vat certificate.
· Are committed to meet the deadlines, are equipped with enough resources and qualified professionals to make necessary logistical arrangements and accomplish the work.
· Preferable having experience on working with persons with disabilities.
Submission of Proposals
Interested and qualified organizations or individuals may send their proposals, along with following information:
1. Profile, with background on expertise and professional experience of the organization or a detailed CV of an individual media professional
2. Technical and financial proposals consisting of:
· Number of actors and human resources available for the contract, including team composition and task assignment and other transportation costs annexed with price.
· Time period needed for completion of the contract
· Three separate prices for 15-minute documentaries for Arbaminch and W/Sodo, a 15-minute documentary for Addis Ababa, Adama, Batu, and Shashemene, and a 25-minutes documentary Video.
· Copy of renewed Registration Certificate, License or Work Permit
· Other relevant supporting documents
