BACKGROUND
ABOUT THE ECSF
The ECSF has been established as a non-partisan, independent, inclusive and voluntary national platform with a focus on the common concerns and challenges of the Civil Society sector in Ethiopia. The Forum’s operational scope is at federal and regional levels with a focus on legal, institutional and operational issues and processes that commonly concerned the civil society sector in Ethiopia.
The various Networks and Consortia of Civil Society organizations (named as ‘Civil Society Organizations’ in the recently ratified Proclamation No. 1113/2019) operating at Federal and Regional level thus came together and established the Ethiopian Civil Society Organizations Forum (ECSF) in May 2013.

Mission
ECSF aspires to ensure the existence of enabling environment for civil society organizations sector through strong representation, constructive dialogue and partnership using consortiums and other legal establishments as platform for action.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Title of the project
Promoting Citizen-State Engagement for Inclusive Social, Economic and Political Rights through strengthening the capacity of local CSOs
Overall Objective:
The purpose of the CSSP2 project is to realize engagement within and among civil society organizations, the government and the communities towards discharging their respective responsibilities of service provision and utilization and respecting, promoting and protecting human rights. In the project activities that shall contribute to build trust and confidence among government, CSOs and their constituencies resulted due to occurrence of effective engagement system that entertain human and democratic right shall be undertaken. Moreover, activities related to enhancing capacity of CSOs, government and community to ensure social inclusion through effective service provision and utilization will be implemented by focusing on areas that more concerns social minority and the poor.
Purpose Of Case Stories And Best Practice Recording
ECSF is planning to Record, publish and distribute case stories, best practice. The overall objective of the Case Stories and Best Practice Recording is to capture a success stories and best practices through the project life time. The Case Stories will provide relevant information on the changes resulting from the project interventions.
SCOPE (SUBJECT AND FOCUS) OF THE Case Stories
The case stories will be conducted independently by the consultant/firm in close consultation with the ECSF Focal Person and that of the co-implementing civil society organizations /CSOs/. The ECSF will secure prior communication with the co-implementing CSOs to introduce the consultant/firm and its assignments so as to facilitate smooth and effective consultation/communication between the consultant/firm and the CSOs.
SUPERVISION AND COORDINATION ARRANGEMENTS
The case stories preparation will work under the direct supervision of ECSF M&E Manager and overall support from the ECSF technical team. The supervisor shall be responsible to:
INDICATIVE TIME FRAME AND WORKLOAD
The Case Stories and Best Practice Recording shall be undertaken and finalized in 7 days (1 Week) (reference to the date of signing the contract between the ECSF and the consultant/firm).
The deadline to submit the final Case Stories shall be on 26, April 2021.
CONTRACT AND PAYMENT SCHEDULE
