Purpose of the Job:
The Senior Category Manger oversees day to day Category sourcing activities for the operation department Vs the organizations strategic plan.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
· Leading the strategic business processes of Category Management based on key market insight and company strategy.
· Develops Plans and manages budget for Sourcing functions.
· Develops and executes commercial strategies on the go and as per the company’s strategic plan.
· Supervises Sourcing, pricing, and Supplier Management activities.
· Ensures definition and refinement of Sourcing/Merchandising strategy including Priorities, Category ranges, and Pricing
· Follow-up preparation of ongoing competitor analysis and reporting, with particular reference to pricing.
· Monitor brand performance and suggest marketing supports needed [in-house/by suppliers]
· Ensure coordination with vendors to provide the required sourcing proposals and analyze vendor performance.
· Develop and maintain professional relationships with all suppliers. Monitor new issue in sourcing & Category management process and develop ways to improve the operation.
· Ensures close collaboration with other key functions, such as Finance, Sales, store operations, and HR.
· Mange and Evaluate Performance of the Category team members.
· Performs other duties, and responsibilities as assigned
Minimum of Master’s degree in Procurement, Marketing, Business Administration, Logistics and Supplies Management, or related fields with Eight (8) years of demonstrated experience out of which three (3) years in Managerial position in FMCG sector.
