Julphar is looking for new candidates with big ambitions, potentials and commitment to improve the quality of life for our end customers.&nbsp;</p><p style="text-align:justify;"><i><strong>Job Summary/Main Purpose</strong></i></p><p style="text-align:justify;">Under the direct supervision of the microbiology section head, he/she prepares media, sterilizes equipment, samples finished products, raw materials, excipients, and water for further analysis as per approved written procedure, conducts environmental monitoring tests, and decontaminates used utensils and discards with the highest environmental protection from contamination.</p><p style="text-align:justify;"><i><strong>Main Responsibilities:</strong></i></p><p>Under the guidance of microbiology section head, The Junior Microbiologist<strong>&nbsp;</strong>shall carry out the following duties:</p><ul><li>Collects and stores samples of raw materials, finished product, stability study product, and water in sterile containers with aseptic precautions according to the sampling SOP until the required test is performed on them.</li><li>Prepares bacteriological culture media and sample containers in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOP) for use in microbiological tests.</li><li>Performs sterilization of media, glass-wares, equipment’s and utensils</li><li>Carried out of environmental monitoring of airborne microbial count, surface analysis, and microbiological hand tests of production rooms and microbiological laboratories.</li><li>In consultation with the microbiology section head, receives incoming notice and plans sampling.</li><li>Maintain the working environment's hygiene and cleanliness.</li><li>Follow the laboratory's safety rules and regulations.</li><li>Verification, as well as keeping a record of all laboratory instruments that require regular verification.</li><li>Assists senior analysts with sample preparation for microbiological testing.</li><li>Decontaminates discarded culture containers, equipment, and utensils.</li><li>Following procedures, disposes of media and cultures after decontaminating as needed in an environmentally friendly manner.</li><li>Participate in the investigation of microbiological test failures (OOS) to determine the root cause of all test failures.</li><li>Participates in product and process validation by collecting samples and conducting necessary tests.</li><li>Ensures that laboratory instruments and equipment are turned off before leaving the laboratory and/or when not in use.</li><li>Report any damage to glassware, equipment, or instruments to the Microbiology section head.</li><li>Submit microbiological test results to the head of the microbiology section for review or approval.</li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned by the Microbiology section head.</li></ul>
