Job Purpose Summary
To assist in the realistic planning, implementation, monitoring, documentation and report writing of the food security project activities.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee and ensure the full implementation of NRC Food Security and livelihoods activities at field / camp level.
• Participate in planning, project implementation including technical, financial and procurement activities.
• Participate in All data collection and processing to inform project design, planning and implementation.
• Assist in the preparation of purchase request, contract documents, attendance and time sheet compilation for approval by management
• Prepare timely Verification/Completion Certificates for all properly completed works to facilitate proper and prompt payment to Partners / contractors
• Prepare timely requisition of materials from Stores and beneficiary distribution registers in line with NRC compliance guidelines
• Keep track of the stock levels of Food Security related materials and items and follow up on project supplies.
• In liaison with logistics, prepare and follow up payment requests for partners, contractors and suppliers.
• Maintain a proper documents filing, retrieval and archiving system
• Assist in the preparation of project reports/updates for the ongoing project activities.
• Assist in the translation of key documents from English to local language and vice versa.
Qualifications and Competences
Academic and Professional Qualifications
• National Diploma in Business Administration and Management, Agriculture or other relevant discipline
• National Certificate or equivalent level of Project Management training.
Relevant Experience
• Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience
• Experience in a Humanitarian field context a strong added advantage.
Knowledge, Skills & Personal attribute for the roles
• Excellent English and any of South Sudanese languages (Nuer/Anuak) (spoken and written)
• Very good organizational and administrative skills
• Attention to detail
• Good cultural awareness and sensitivity
• Strong team working and support role skills
• Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines under pressure with minimum supervision
• Good task orientation and ability to follow actions through to completion.
