Aynage Child and Family Development Organization (ACFDO) is a community based, not for profit, non-religious and discrimination free indigenous humanitarian organization that exists to help the Deprived, Excluded and Vulnerable Children become productive, confident and responsible citizens, parents and leaders of tomorrow. Located at the capital of Silti woreda of Silte zone in SNNPR, ACFDO, established in 1999 GC, has been implementing various development programs and projects. Currently it is implementing Early Childhood Development, Basic Education and Youth Development programs in partnership with ChildFund Ethiopia and YekokebBerhan program for Highly Vulnerable Children in partnership with USAID/Pact in Silte and Hadiya zones.

Position: WaSH Project Officer
Position Summary:
The post holder will be responsible for overall planning, coordination, implementation, monitoring and review of the WASHProject. S/he will be expected to work closely with the target communities; the project team, and operational district and zonal level stakeholders. S/he will be responsible for the timely implementation of all the planned WASH related activities as per the approved project document; and government and donor requirements.
Job Requirement
MINIMUM REQUIREMENT AND EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
Qualification& Experience: BSc in Water Engineering, Environmental Health or other related fields of study+ 3 years or above related work experience of which 2 years in the NGO environment.
Skill: Prior experience in WASH project management, experience in project management in a complex and demanding workload; substantial experience in coordinating, mobilizing community, planning, implementation, supervision, monitoring and reporting; familiar with participatory approach with technical background and knowledge in environmental health; demonstrated work experience in designing & implementing sanitation and hygiene promotion program and construction supervision of rural water supply and sanitation facilities for community and school; excellent report writing and English proficiency skills; computer literate in word, excel, internet and related applications.
Terms of employment: One year with the possibility of extension based on availability of fund and work performance.
