Marketing Manager plays an important role in by ensuring that customers' needs are met whilst maximizing the profits of a company. Marketing manager is expected to lead the marketing and sales of the hotel’s services by coming up with techniques and concepts and think creatively, devising new ways of communicating with established and potential customers. Marketing includes aspects of research, public relations, branding, communications and advertising.
Duties and Responsibilities
Marketing-based Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitoring and analyzing market trends
Studying competitors' products and services
Exploring ways of improving existing products and services, and increasing profitability
Identifying target markets and developing strategies to communicate with them.
Preparing and managing marketing plans and budgets
Managing the production of promotional material
Liaising with other internal departments such as sales and distribution
Producing reports to monitor results
Presenting findings and suggestions to company directors or other senior managers
Travelling to trade shows, conferences and sales meetings
Supporting and managing a marketing team.
Sales-based Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for bringing in guests
Plan sales promotions, set sales goals, and train staff.
Seek out business with individual guests and large groups to stay with the hotel.
Sell prospective and current guests on the hotel's services, such as dining options, swimming pools, and exercise rooms, as well as to notify them of room upgrades.
Possessing complete knowledge of all of the services the hotel offers is important for making a successful sale.
Job Requirement
Education: B.A Degree or above in Marketing Management, Economics, BIS or any related field Experience: 4 years of total experience out of which 2 years is in a managerial position in hospitality industry
