Background
Under the direct supervision of the Emergency & Post-Crisis (EPC) Program Support Officer, and the overall supervision of the EPC Program Coordinator, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development and reporting of EPC projects in Ethiopia.
Core Functions / Responsibilities:
1. Support the EPC Program Support Officer in furthering a strategy for resource mobilization and development of the program portfolio, including mapping relevant donors and maintaining regular contacts.
2. Contribute to EPC project development and modification through consolidation, editing, and composition of concept notes and proposal documents in coordination with Program Support Officer, project managers, field officers, and Resource Management Unit.
3. Coordinate project development administrative processes such as liaison with IOM Regional Offices and data conversion/inputting through PRIMA, in coordination with Program Support officer, project managers, field officers, and Resource Management Unit.
4. Train EPC Program staff on IOM and donor compliance and data entry systems as required.
5. Supervise EPC Program Support Data Clerk(s) work of data entry for Project Development and reporting systems – e.g. PRIMA and donor systems.
6. Coordinate project activation processes including PARF creation and PRIMA approvals, in coordination with Program Support Officer, project managers, field officers, and Resource Management Unit.
7. Support donor reporting by consolidating project manager inputs, editing, and composing donor deliverable products, and receiving PRIMA/RO approvals, in coordination with donor focal points, Program Support Officer, project managers, field officers, and Resource Management Unit.
8. Respond to ad hoc donor and IOM Headquarter or Regional Office information requests.
9. Maintain strong and regular liaison with program partners, such as governmental authorities, diplomatic missions, and any other concerned agencies and working groups, aiming at coordinating and promoting new activities and facilitating the implementation of ongoing activities and fund raising for new projects.
10. Undertake duty travel relating to project monitoring and reporting, donor compliance, liaison with counterparts, and project development, as required.
11. Perform other such duties as may be assigned.
Education
· Completed University degree from an accredited academic institution in Political or Social Science, Business Administration, International Relations and/or Law, or an equivalent combination of training and experience., preferably
Experience
Languages
· Thorough knowledge of spoken and written English and Amharic.
· Knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
