Main duties:
· Conduct assessment of WASH schemes coverage and gap in intervention areas
· Develop technical designs and BoQ, and manage the implementation of all water, sanitation and hygiene project interventions (Rehabilitation of traditional wells/HDW and motorized schemes, roof harvesting schemes construction, VIP latrines construction, pipe line expansion, new shallow wells, installation of solar power schemes on deep wells, CLTS/hygiene campaign, capacity building, and similar).
· Supervision of construction activities, preparation of construction management documents and of tender dossiers
· Facilitates capacity building training for community water management committees
· Control progress and quality of the activities through periodical monitoring and evaluating visits, and also by giving technical advice, ensuring that objectives are reached and that indicators are measured throughout the programme life cycle.
· Write regular technical and activities reports weekly/monthly as required for program updates
Qualification and experience:
· Minimum Degree in Water Engineering and related fields.
· Minimum 2 years’ experience in WASH Program management,
· Good understanding of NGO Code of Conduct, Sphere Standards and adherence to Humanitarian Principles.
· Strong Management, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills;
· Highly organized, efficient, and able to meet key deadlines
· Excellent oral and written communication skills;
· Highly developed inter-personal skills/inter-cultural sensitivity;
· IT proficient;
· Ability to work under pressure in harsh environment;
· Languages: English fluently spoken and written.
