Project Implementation and management support
· Together with community protection workers and NRC ICLA staff; carry out extensive identification of persons with specific needs with main focus to persons with disabilities, injuries, chronic illness, elderly people etc, identification and assessment of their protection risks and other basic needs, prepare the detailed list of identified people and share with project manager on timely manner and make appropriate referral.
· Gather general protection concerns (such as discrimination, abuses, neglect, exclusion, violence, difficulty in accessing basic and specific humanitarian assistance and other protection issues, etc.) in the targeted areas including using the findings of the DTM to make subsequent follow-ups on protection concerns.
· Mapping of relevant external actors for referral purpose and collaborate with all the potential identified partner s and maintain closed coordination for case management of referral cases.
Proper Documenting and record keeping
· Ensure proper documentation of the project and efficient use of project’s resources.
· Produce activity reports for each activity implemented and carry out regular recording and reporting of activities, field trips in coordination with other team members, including NRC ICLA team.
· Coordinate with partners and local stakeholders to provide inputs for the periodical reports to be submit to the Project Manager as required.
· Maintain quality project database information system on disaggregation basis (Gender , age, disability, beneficiary type, etc.) and share to PM when required.
Develop resources and conduct capacity building/awareness-raising initiatives
· Take part in development of user-friendly awareness-raising IEC material.
· Conduct stimulating and effective training and information sessions.
· Translate short documents or review the translation of materials in local language.
· Conduct training needs assessment and trainings for target IDPs, host communities, and government service providers.
Maintain a high quality of work
· Maintain a high level of knowledge and skills in understanding needed responses to the protection issues of IDPs and host community.
Responsible for implementing the safeguarding policies at project level
· Prepare work plans and implement safeguarding (Child Protection, Prevention of beneficiary Sexual Exploitation and Abuse [PSEA] activities.
· Respect and ensure compliance to the HI’s crucial safeguarding policies (protection of beneficiaries from sexual exploitation and abuse, child protection, anti-fraud and bribery and code of conduct).
Relationship management
· Work in cooperation and partnership with local government stakeholders to realize the project objectives.
· Create and maintain conducive working relationships with protection partners, Zone and Woreda Women & Children Affairs, DPPO, Health, Justice, Education Offices, host communities, beneficiaries, project staff and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth implementation of the project activities.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology, Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Child Development or other related field.
Experience:
Essential:
· Minimum of 2 years of programmatic and technical experience on Sexual and Gender Based protection risk response in emergency /crises context.
· Good knowledge of Sexual and Gender Based Protection case management.
· Excellent knowledge of Sexual and Gender Based Protection minimum standards and basic principles.
· Knowledge on identification of Sexual and Gender Based protection concerns that related to the conflict affected communities as a whole such as services accessibility, risks of CP and GBV because of limited access to facilities, etc.
· Knowledge of working area language (Somali) is a Must.

· Computer literacy (Word, Excel and Power Point).
