ROLE PURPOSE:
Under the supervision of the Humanitarian Program Sr. Manager and the technical guidance from Senior MEAL teams, the position holder will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the M&E activities, documentation of lessons learned including documentation and sharing the lessons learned of the projects (Projects-WASH, Health and Nutrition, CP, NFI) of humanitarian program. S/he will also support Humanitarian projects on M&E related activities in the region, including summarizing, analysing collected routine data and producing reports as well as supporting surveys, assessments, operations researches, and analysing data to inform and guide project implementation. S/he will also support the M&E related activities of field office’s health unit. This position is based in Hawassa with frequent travel to districts for supervision and coordination.
The position holder will also be the main focal point and the go-to person for all humanitarian projects knowledge management related activities at south hub. Based in Hawassa, s/he will work closely with sub office’s M & E team, provide information that may be required for publication and dissemination process. S/he will also be responsible to maintain/keep the hard copies of the research outputs (completed forms) that may be required for reference in the publication/dissemination process.
JOB SPECIFIC ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Technical Support & Coordination
· Provides technical support to M EAL officers working on Humanitarian program projects in capturing, organizing, ensuring quality of routine data
· Provides technical support and guidance to MEAL officers in analysing routine data to inform program implementation and for informed decision making.
· Reviews the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of data reported from the field office and approves data for further analysis.
· Follow up and supports the MEAL officers in producing timely regular reports
· Provides timely information and report on the national indicators to inform the project implementation
· Conducts regular field visits to support process documentation and capturing lessons learned from project sites
