JOB PURPOSE
The schoolwide (EC-12) Teaching Assistant Coach and ES Action Facilitator will join the Executive Director of Learning and the divisional Principals who support teachers in delivering and advancing ICS’ Mission and Strategic Objectives.
The role of the schoolwide (EC-12) Teaching Assistant Coach and ES Action Facilitator is to provide coaching, leadership, coordination and consistency across all divisions concerning expectations and performance of teaching assistants (TA) at ICS. This involves ensuring teaching assistants receive coaching and professional learning across a wide range of academic, social/emotional, behavioral, and professional areas that impact student learning and the culture at ICS. This individual will provide leadership within the Office of Learning and with divisional Principals to help facilitate a cadre of highly qualified TAs to serve in ICS classrooms. This includes providing feedback and engaging in reflection processes with the administration and Human Resources on hiring TAs and in orienting new TAs. This individual will also play a key role as the ES Action Facilitator to further develop ICS’s “Action and Service” within our ICS community, which involves creating, developing, and maintaining connections for action and service outside the ICS community. In addition, this individual will serve as a primary conduit, facilitator and organizer of professional learning within the NEPS and ICS Support Staff partnership, ensuring targeted learning experiences are provided to the management and teachers at NEPS.
