BRIDGE, Building Rural Income through Inclusive Dairy Business Growth in Ethiopia, is a five-year dairy development project (2018-2023), implemented by SNV Ethiopia in partnership with Wageningen University-Livestock Research.
The impact of the project is to contribute to an “improved performance in the dairy sector in Ethiopia”, for 120,000 farming households, with four main outcomes: (1) Improved milk production, (2) Improved milk collection, processing, and marketing, (3) Improved consumption of nutritious foods, and (4) Improved enabling environment. The project will work in 4 regional states: Oromia, Amhara, SNNP and Tigray.
SNV Ethiopia is looking for dynamic, experienced, talented, energetic, flexible, open and ready to learn candidates for Junior Dairy Cooperative Business Advisor (Cluster) for its growing program and the Building Rural Income through Inclusive Dairy Business Growth in Ethiopia (BRIDGE) project in Bahirdar Cluster.
The successful appointee will have access to start-up resources and some ongoing support and will be encouraged to apply for his/her own skills, knowledge and experience. The junior advisor will work with dairy cooperatives and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that could be part of BRIDGE project. S /he supports the organization of dairy cooperatives and SMEs and improve volume and quality of milk collected so as to increase the volume of milk processed towards marketable dairy products. S/he is also required to create working synergy with cooperative promotion office and SME office. S/he will support cooperative memberships, leadership, coaching on business development, support and relationship with a cooperative agency. S/he will develop tools to advise cooperatives and SMEs on business start-up, expansion on dairy and on any related field.

EDUCATION
· BA Degree in Cooperative Development, business studies or any other related field.
EXPERIENCE
· At least 3 years of experience in supporting dairy cooperatives/small and medium businesses, understanding of dairy value chain development, working with farmer-based organizations.
