The World Food Programme office in Awassa sub office is currently seeking to fill an internship position. The sub office is currently implementing four lines of sights namely Home-Grown School Feeding (HGSF), Targeted Supplementary Food or integrated Moderate Acute Malnutrition (IMAM), IDPs and Refugees. The sub office has staff members with practical accumulated functional skills in area of programme life cycle and food assistance, transfer modality (food, cash and voucher), broad knowledge of specialized areas such as (nutrition, Vam, food security analysis and monitoring, etc), emergency programming and strategic policy engagement with Government.
JOB PURPOSE:
The Volunteer/Intern will be under the direct supervision of the sub office’s program unit with the overall supervision of Head of Sub-Office, the intern will develop functional skill in programme lifecycle and food assistance, transfer modality, nutrition, FFE, Emergency programming by catering in the specific duties and responsibilities:
The duration of assignment cannot be more than 8 months. Up on onboarding successful candidate will be given a one-month trial period and offered a Volunteer contract, then the contract will be converted to an intern depending on demonstrated successful performance, adaptability and agility.
