CEO Role Summary – Ethiopian Fintech with 100+ Employees (Head Office in Addis Ababa)
The Company is looking to appoint an ambitious and self-driven CEO to be based in the Addis Ababa corporate office and take full responsibility for driving growth and the expansion of our Fintech business in Ethiopia.
Person specification
Ethiopian national or of Ethiopian origin based in the country or intending to relocate in Ethiopia.
The person should ideally possess a good first degree and a post graduate qualification (MBA, MsC in Finance/Business)
Appreciation of an entrepreneurial start-up business culture that fully embrace digital technology
Strong numerical dexterity and thirst to drive efficiencies within operations and achieving targets
Strong and charismatic individual with solid experience in managing people and building high performing teams
Ability to achieve result without corporate supports found in larger corporations
Appreciation of the meaning of being a leader
Capacity to network and mingle with Fintech and Financial Services business and Government communities at the highest level
Must possess total commitment and a drive that deeply involves themselves personally with the company’s employees, regardless of location or working hours.
Ideally should speak Amharic
Job Requirement
Experience of growing a brand or business enabling the candidate to develop and execute the overall company strategy
Previous start-up experience and understanding of start-up dynamic modes of management
Previous experience as CEO or Deputy CEO and people management
Highly entrepreneurial who embrace technology and is passionate about it.
Financially literate and experienced in developing budgets and business cases and managing the company according to them
Substantial experience in the ICT, consumer oriented of financial services industries including demonstrated success in a similar role.
